Well known Cleveland Park bakery SakuSaku Flakerie is opening a cafe in the Nationwide Building Museum’s Great Hall.
SakuSaku is a French bakery with a Japanese twist, encouraged by the owner’s Japanese heritage. Its menu incorporates croissants, kouign amann cakes, quiches and coffees.
The Making Museum has not had a cafe due to the fact it reopened in April 2021.
The cafe is owned by Yuri and Jason Oberbilling. Yuri grew up in Kobe, Japan and is in demand of the Japanese-motivated recipes. Jason manages the business and internet marketing.
“SakuSaku is a Japanese word describing what it sounds like to chunk into a refreshing, flaky pastry,” reported Jason. ”I seem ahead to sharing our food stuff with audiences at the Museum and invite our followers to uncover the Museum’s inspiring Fantastic Corridor and partaking exhibitions.”
The Cleveland Park place of SakuSaku is operate out of the Italian restaurant Trattoria Al Volo. Eater DC has termed it Cleveland Park’s new go-to bakery.
