Rose Water Cooler – The Lemon Bowl®

This refreshing rose water cooler is light, floral, and effervescent. Enjoy it as a mocktail or turn it in to a cocktail with vodka.

Nothing is more refreshing than a nice, cold drink on a hot summer day. The next time you’re thirsty but aren’t feeling like the usual water or lemonade, whip up this delicious Rose Water Cooler. Quick and simple, it can be made with or without alochol and delight you and the whole family!

Ingredients

  • Mint: Fresh mint sprigs is essential for the sweet, cool taste to come out in the drink.
  • Lime: Tart, acidic, clean taste that pairs well with mint and rose water flavors.
  • Simple syrup: A sweet syrup that can quickly take on the flavor of ingredients steeped in it.
  • Rose water: Subtle floral and fruity flavor that isn’t too bitter or too sweet.
  • Sparkling water or club soda: The perfect, rereshing finish for any cooler or cocktail.

How to Make a Rose Water Cooler

Adding mint to pitcher

Start your Rose Water Cooler by adding mint sprigs and sliced lime into a pitcher.

Adding simple syrup to pitcher

Next add in the simple syrup.

Muddling herbs

Muddle for about a minute to release the natural flavors and oils from the mint and lime rinds.

Adding vodka to pitcher

Stir in the vodka if you’re making it alcoholic with the rose water.

Adding rose petals to pitcher

For extra rose flavor, I threw in some fresh rose petals as well.

Pouring rose water mixture into glasses

Strain your rose water mixture into four cups over ice.

Adding club soda to glass

Top off each glass evenly with sparling water or club soda (I used lime flavored La Croix).

Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and rose petals, and enjoy your Rose Water Cooler!

Switch It up

  • Make it boozy. As an optional ingredient, add in vodka or gin to make this cooler a cocktail.
  • Mix in some fruit. Add in some watermelon or raspberries to switch up the flavor.

It should be available at your local grocery store. Check the international section, baking aisle, or maybe by the seltzers and sparkling water.

It’s commonly used in baking and sweet recipes, like Turkish delight or baklava. Or for a non-edible option, you can mix it into your lotion for extra moisture and fragrance.

  • In a cocktail pitcher, add the fresh mint, lime quarters and simple syrup. Muddle gently for about 1 minute to release the lime juice and essential oils in the mint and lime peel. Stir in the rose water and vodka then strain over four glasses filled with ice. Top each glass with equal parts sparkling water or club soda. Garnish with additional mint if you wish before serving.
